How Does It Work?

Red, green, and blue LEDs are arranged in a predetermined pattern to make up an LED display. A pixel is formed by combining these three colours. Types of LED Displays

Dot Matrix LED Display

14-Segment LED Display

A 14-segment LED display employs twice as many diodes as a 7-segment display, but the basic format is the same. 16-Segment LED Display

Displays that use 16-segment LEDs use the same general figure-eight module structure as 7- and 14-segment displays. Alphanumeric LED display readouts on systems where a more complex dot matrix LED display is unfeasible or unneeded are often sufficient.
