LED displays are classified as electronic products according to the industry. As long as they are electronic products, failures will inevitably occur in the use process. So what are the tips for repairing LED display?

As all friends who have been exposed to LED display know, LED display is made by splicing LED modules one by one. As mentioned earlier, LED display is an electronic product, so its basic structure is the display surface (lamp surface), PCB (circuit board), and control surface (IC component surface).

When it comes to tips for repairing LED display, let's first talk about common faults. Common faults include: local "dead light", "caterpillar", local color block missing, local black screen, large area black screen, local random code, etc. How to repair these common small faults? First, prepare the maintenance tools. The LED display maintenance workers always have five items: tweezers, hot air gun, soldering iron, multimeter and test card. Other auxiliary materials include: solder paste (tin wire), flux, copper wire, glue, etc.

1、 Local "dead light" problem
Local "dead light" means that one or several lights on the light surface of the LED display screen do not light up, which can be divided into full time and part of the color. Generally, this is because the light itself has a problem, or it is affected by moisture, or the RGB chip is damaged. Our maintenance method is very simple, that is, we can replace it with the spare LED lamp beads provided by the factory. Then the tools used are tweezers and hot-air guns. After replacing the spare LED lamp beads, Use the test card to retest. If there is no problem, it has been repaired.

2、 The "caterpillar" problem
The term "caterpillar" is just a metaphor, which refers to the phenomenon that when the LED display screen is powered on without an input source, a long dark and bright strip appears on some lamp surfaces, mostly in red. The root cause of this phenomenon is the leakage of the internal chip of the lamp, or the short circuit of the circuit on the IC side of the back. The former is the majority. In this case, we only need to take the hot air gun to blow the hot air along the discolored "caterpillar" that is leaking electricity. When the problem lamp is blown, it is generally OK. Because the internal leakage chip connection is opened due to heat, but there is still a hidden danger. We just need to find the LED lamp bead that is leaking electricity, and replace the hidden danger lamp bead according to the method mentioned above. If the line on the back IC side is short circuited, you need to use a multimeter to measure the relevant IC pin circuit and replace it with a new IC.

3、 Local color block missing
Friends who know about LED display screen must have seen this problem. It is that a small square heterochromatic block appears when the LED display screen plays normally. This problem is usually caused by the burning of the color IC behind the color block. The solution is to replace it with a new IC.

4、 Local black screen and large area black screen Generally speaking, black screen refers to the phenomenon that one or more LED modules do not light up in the whole area when the LED display screen plays normally. A few LED modules do not light up in the area, which is called local black screen, and more areas are called large area black screen. In this case, we generally consider the power factor first. Generally, check whether the LED power indicator works normally. If the LED power indicator does not light up, it is mostly because the power supply is damaged. Just replace it with a new power supply. Also, check whether the power cable of the LED module corresponding to the black screen is loose. In many cases, it can also solve the black screen problem by re screwing the cable head.

5、 Local garbled code
The problem of local garbled code is relatively complex, which refers to the phenomenon of random and irregular color blocks that may flicker randomly in local areas when the LED display screen is playing. When this problem occurs, we usually check the connection of the signal cable first. We can check whether the flat cable is burned, whether the network cable is loose, and so on. In maintenance practice, we found that the aluminum magnesium wire is easy to burn out, while the pure copper wire has a long service life. If there is no problem in the whole signal connection, exchange the defective LED module with the adjacent normal playing module, and you can basically judge whether it is possible that the LED module corresponding to the abnormal playing area is damaged. The damage is mostly caused by IC problems, and maintenance and handling will be more complicated. It will not be repeated here.

In a word, the maintenance of LED display is a process of accumulating experience for a long time. This article is limited in length, so let's share so much first. Welcome to add.
